Article: AUSTRALIA: TASMANIAN FOREST DESTRUCTION TO COME UNDER SCRUTINY OF WORLD HERITAGE COMMITTEE

Australian Sen. Christine Milne (Greens-Tasmania) issued the following news release:

Evidence of logging up to the eastern boundary of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA) will be drawn to the attention of to the World Heritage Committee meeting in Christchurch, New Zealand, in June.

Greens' Senator, Christine Milne, says clearfell logging of a forty hectare coupe in the Lower Weld Valley to within 100 metres of the boundary is a matter of international concern.
