The University of Kentucky issued the following news release:
The Weekly Standard has recommended two books published by the University Press of Kentucky (UPK) in their June 25/July 2 issue featuring articles on summer reading. "Virginia at War, 1862" and "In Defense of the Bush Doctrine" made the cut of titles the publication suggested for its readership.
The magazine placed the two books on a list of fifteen recommended titles for the "discriminating book buyer" in writer Philip Terzian's "In Brief" column. UPK is the only press to have two books on the list from The Weekly Standard.
