Gov. Mike Easley, D-N.C., issued the following press release:

Gov. Mike Easley today announced that AmerLink Ltd., maker of handcrafted custom-made and manufactured log homes, will expand in Nash County, creating 50 jobs and investing $1.8 million during the next three years. The announcement was made possible in part by a $50,000 One North Carolina Fund grant. ''AmerLink's decision brings more good-paying jobs to Nash County,'' Easley said. ''Businesses recognize North Carolina's focused and innovative state and community partnerships make our state a place where firms can expand and be successful.'' AmerLink Ltd. is the parent company of the ''In the Woods'' brand of log home packages ...
