ATLANTA - Army Reserve Soldiers can help their units and themselves by taking advantage of a new program that pays $2,000 for referring a successful enlistee.
"Everybody wins. The new recruit reaps all the benefits of military service. The referring Soldiers get a substantial amount of money. And the unit gets two highly motivated members," said SFC Susan Kosiovick, an Active Guard and Reserve recruiter who works in Beaverton, Ore.
Soldiers, future Soldiers, retired Soldiers and Department of the Army civilian employees may receive the $2,000 bonus for referring eligible recruits who have never served in the military and who have not previously met with a recruiter. Restrictions preclude ...
