Article: Japanese Inventors Develop Conjugated Diene Rubber

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- Masao Nakamura, Masaaki Komatsu, Kouji Shouya, Kiyonori Umetsu, Takeshi Karato and Takahiko Fukahori, all from Chiyoda-ku, Japan, have developed a conjugated diene rubber, a process for producing the conjugated diene rubber, and a rubber composition.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A conjugated diene rubber obtained by a process wherein active conjugated diene polymer chains each having an active metal at a polymer chain terminal, which have been obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene monomer alone, or a conjugated diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer with the aid of an organic active metal in an inert solvent, are allowed to ...
