The British company managing the Alexander Juvenile Correctional Facility in Arkansas will hire a private firm to audit allegations of staff misconduct following the death of a 17-year-old girl.
Although G4S Youth Services assumed management of the facility in January from Cornell Companies, residents have persisted in complaining about alleged maltreatment.
Cornell operated the facility from 2002 through 2006 following a federal inquiry into alleged maltreatment by staff when the unit was under state management.
