Article: NORTHWESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY PREPARING TO HOST LOUISIANA BOYS STATE, GIRLS STATE

Northwestern State University issued the following news release:

More than 1,100 high school students from around Louisiana are expected to take part in the Louisiana Boys State and Louisiana Girls State program in July on the Northwestern State University campus. Girls State will be held on July 1-7 and Boys State is set for July 2-8.

The delegates are high school students who will be seniors in the 2007-08 school year. This is the first time Northwestern has hosted the event. Boys State and Girls State had been held at LSU in Baton Rouge for more than 60 years.
