Article: DELAWARE COUNTY TOPS IN GETTING CHILDREN ENROLLED IN PENNSYLVANIA CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM

Deleware County issued the following press release:

One year after Delaware County launched a major campaign to secure health insurance for children through the state's Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the State Insurance Department reports that enrollment in Delaware County has increased 25 percent since May 2006.

That significant increase is the largest percentage of any county in Southeastern Pennsylvania and the second highest in the entire state.

Delaware County has been at the forefront of the effort to secure health insurance for children, through efforts at the community level and through county government.
