ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 19 -- Dror Goldenberg and Michael Kagan, both of Zichron Yaakov, Israel, Gil Bloch of Kiryat Ata, Israel, Gil Stoler of Nofit, Israel, and Diego Crupnicoff of Buenos Aires, Argentina, have developed a method of sharing a network interface card among multiple hosts.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A network interface device includes a fabric interface, adapted to exchange messages over a switch fabric with a plurality of host processors, the messages containing data, and a network interface, including one or more ports adapted to be coupled to a network external to the switch fabric.
