Article: STUDENT CASTS EAST ST. LOUIS IN GOOD LIGHT

Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville issued the following news release:

"There's more to East St. Louis than violence" said LaRon Epps, East St. Louis Carter School student. The sophomore has been selected to participate in a documentary project commissioned by the Illinois State Board of Education. "The project is basically about showing the inequalities in the schools in Illinois and there are inequalities, but it shouldn't be that way," said Epps of East St. Louis.
