The Connecticut Department of Public Safety issued the following news release:
The Connecticut State Police today promoted two members of the Connecticut State Police to the rank of Major during a ceremony at State Police Headquarters in Middletown.
Commissioner John A. Danaher III and Colonel Thomas Davoren formally promoted Captain Gene Labonte and Lieutenant Warran Hyatt to the rank of State Police Major. These promotions will fill and restructure the executive command staff of the Connecticut State Police.
