The Hawaii Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
Lt. Gov. James R. "Duke" Aiona, Jr., the state Department of Transportation and community leaders participated in a proclamation ceremony today to kick off "Highway Safety Month" and "Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month."
"With graduation season and summer break coming up, we want to continue our summer traffic safety campaigns to help keep the driving public safe," said state transportation director Barry Fukunaga.
The event announced the annual "Click It Or Ticket" seatbelt enforcement campaign, which runs from May 21 until June 3. Police statewide will cite motorists not wearing their seatbelts in an effort to have ...
