Indiana State Sen. Allen E. Paul, R-27th District, issued the following news release:
Amid a rainbow of military colors, the most significant legislation for Indiana veterans in more than two decades was signed into law today during a spirited ceremony attended by approximately 400 people.
Senate Bill 480 - a veterans benefits bill that puts Indiana among the top states for taking care of its soldiers - became official as it was penned by Gov. Mitch Daniels in front of a near-capacity crowd at Pershing Auditorium inside the Indiana War Memorial.
