Mimi Sallis' experience belies her age. At 38, she's currently one of the younger bank presidents in the Chicago area. She's held about every position in a bank imaginable in her rather short banking career.
Sallis started out as a bookkeeping clerk in 1989 at Devon Bank in Chicago as a part-time job while studying English at Loyola University in Chicago. While pursuing a teaching certificate at Northeastern Illinois University, she stayed at Devon and moved into compliance. Eight years ago, Sallis joined the staff at Brickyard Bank in Lincolnwood, a first-ring Chicago suburb.
