Article: ADA, PAYETTE COUNTY MEN ARE IDAHO'S FIRST WEST NILE VIRUS HUMAN INFECTIONS IN 2007

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare issued the following news release:

An Ada County man in his 50's and a Payette County man in his 60's have tested positive for West Nile virus, the first probable West Nile human infections in 2007. Both men are recovering.

Officials also have confirmed several positive mosquito pools in Canyon, Gem, Elmore and Payette counties. One horse in Gem County also has tested positive for West Nile infection. So far this year, five Idaho counties have reported West Nile activity.
