The Colorado State Judicial branch issued the following press release:

Chief Judge Sharon L. Hansen announced today that Magistrate Douglas Stewart Walker is slated to be sworn in on Wednesday, August 1, as the 22nd Judicial District's newest district court judge. The district court judgeship was created with the passage of House Bill 07-1054.

"I am pleased to have Doug join me on our district court bench," said Chief Judge Hansen. "Having served as a magistrate for the 22nd and 6th Judicial Districts since 1997 prepared him well for this appointment."

Prior to joining the court, Walker was a sole practitioner from 1981 to 1997 and worked from 1996 to 1997 at the Alternative ...
