Congressman Don Manzullo (R-Egan) today praised the University of Illinois Board of Trustees for its votes this afternoon to proceed with building the $31 million rural health center that will improve health care in rural America and create jobs in Rockford.
The National Center for Rural Health Professions, which will be housed at the U of I College of Medicine in Rockford, will be the premier medical school in the nation focusing on teaching future health professionals how to practice medicine in America's rural areas.
