Article: New Mexico Republican Party: Kids Count Report: State Government Failing New Mexico's Children

The New Mexico Republican Party issued the following news release:

Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico ranks 47th in child poverty, 41st in child deaths, and has an overall ranking of 47th when it comes to the well-being of our state's children. The Kids County 2007 report released these results Wednesday, among others, which depict the poverty-stricken lives of far too many children in New Mexico. An article by Kate Nash in the Albuquerque Tribune also noted that New Mexico ranked among the bottom ten states in eight of the ten categories examined by the report.
