The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decision:

Summary: Decision adopting 98-ORD-6; records in the custody of circuit court clerks are properly characterized as court records to which the Open Records Act does not apply. Accordingly, the actions of the Christian Circuit Court Clerk in responding to requests for court records related to a certain criminal case cannot be said to have violated the Open Records Act.
