U.S. Representatives Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY), Christopher Shays (R-CT), and Tom Udall (D-NM) - authors of legislation to give the Civil Liberties Oversight Board more power and independence - applauded the inclusion of provisions to strengthen the Board in the 9/11 Commission Recommendations Conference Report that passed the House today.
