The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources issued the following news release:
Gov. Edward G. Rendell today said the state will invest $250,000 to support the first phase of the South Bethlehem Greenway, a linear park for pedestrians and bicyclists to traverse the southside of the city. The money will be awarded to the City of Bethlehem to match federal funds already awarded to the project.
"The Lehigh Valley has seen tremendous growth over the last 20 years and it is critical that we protect its natural resources and opportunities for people to enjoy the outdoors," Governor Rendell said. "Like other trail developments, the South Bethlehem Greenway is expected to ...
