Article: REP. OLVER ANNOUNCES HOUSE APPROVES $325,000 FOR CREATION OF GARDNER COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

Rep. John Olver, D-Mass. (1st CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman John W. Olver (D-1st District) announced that the U.S. House of Representatives has approved a funding bill that includes $325,000 to go towards the renovation of 3 floors of an elementary school in downtown Gardner to create a community health center. Olver secured the funding in the FY08 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill, which the House passed on July 24. Olver is the Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation and HUD, and worked in that role to secure the funding through HUD.
