Article: FIRST WARRANT OFFICER CLASS REUNITES AT QUANTICO

The U.S. Marine Corps issued the following official news story:

A group of Marines who graduated from the very first warrant officer training course traveled from all over the country to meet at Yeckel Hall July 13 in celebration of their seventh reunion.

Warrant officer training, which was initiated in 1960, was an experimental program, and only a few classes completed the course before warrant officers began reporting to The Basic School. Following the initial training, which was similar to that of the Officer Candidates School, the warrant officers went on to TBS.
