New Pollmeier mill to boost production
Schedule for completion this year, Pollmeier's third sawmill an Aschaffenburg, Germany will increase production of European beech to 200,000,000 board feet. South American logging bans are expected to reduce hardwood imports from the continent and with demands not being met for North American species like hard maple, cherry, birch and alder. Pollmeier hopes to fill the gap.
Office furniture index shows cyclical slowdown
