Article: New York to Study Congestion Pricing As Part of Deal on Bloomberg's Plan

New York state lawmakers said July 19 they reached an agreement on a congestion-pricing plan for New York City, three days after the state Legislature declined to consider Mayor Michael Bloombergs proposal in time to meet a deadline to qualify for federal funding.

In a statement, Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), Bloomberg, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco, Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno and Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith said they would adopt the statute authorizing a new version of the congestion-pricing plan.
