The biggest change on this year's transport topics 100 list may be who is not listed. Watkins Associated Industries, ranked No. 20 a year ago, is gone after selling off its largest business unit, Watkins Motor Lines, to FedEx Corp., which relaunched the business as FedEx National LTL.

BAX Global, the California-based air and ground freightforwarding business, ranked No. 12 in 2006 out is now part of Germany's Deutsche Bahn AG and has been merged with Schenker Logistics. The company declined to break out revenue for the BAX/Schenker operations in North America, so it could not be ranked.
