Washington, Aug. 8 -- Courtney Love has acknowledged the apology rendered by Lily Allen for the rude remarks she made on the singer, after the Brit star claimed that the comments were actually posted by someone who broke into her account.

Last month, it was reported that Allen had written to her friend that 'I am not bfs (best friends with) C (Courtney) Love, one night with her made me realise why Kurt (Cobain) killed himself. I nearly checked into rehab'.

Love has revealed her friend's web page was hacked by someone had posted the nasty remarks, and that the 'Smile' singer has rendered her an apology for the web ...
