Recent Minneapolis convention of the Electrical Apáratus Service Association returned to basics

TECHNOLOGY OLD AND NEW dominated this year's convention of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, held at the Minneapolis Convention Center June 24-27.

Educational sessions explored new tools and techniques such as infrared thermography and variable-frequency drives, as well as more established ones like squirrel-cage rotor design and lubrication compatibility. Marketing and management sessions addressed topics ranging from price-setting to "lean" operations. (Summaries of a few of these sessions appear on this and the following five pages.)
