London, Aug. 10 -- The Spice Girls are said to be leaving no stone unturned when it comes to battling it out with Britney Spears for the opening slot of an esteemed music concert.

The all-girl band is vying to open the Fashion Rocks concert at London's Royal Albert Hall, one of the biggest events in the music and fashion industry.

While the vivacious five are eying the October extravaganza to make their long-awaited comeback, organisers of the event are desperately trying to rope in Britney to open the concert, her first official appearance since her troubles.
