Article: CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

The city of Fort Lauderdale issued the following news release:

The City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department will participate in the 2007 Summer Food Service Program at parks and school sites throughout the City. The program will take place Monday - Friday, from June 11 through August 3 (excluding July 4, 2007).

The program, which is similar to the National School Lunch Program, provides a nutritionally balanced lunch and snack for each child regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin or disability during summer vacation when school lunches are not available.
