Executive Summary
Augustino LoPrinzi is a builder of custom guitars and ukuleles in Clearwater, Florida. As the third child of nine to an immigrant family in New Jersey, Augustino was an unlikely candidate to become a maker of some of the world's finest stringed instruments.
Growing up in the days where it was impossible to get formal training in guitar making unless you traveled to Spain, Augustino learned from reading extensively, examining other guitars, and even taking them apart and putting them back together again in his basement, on the kitchen table, or any other available spot.
By 1972, he and his brother, Thomas, had founded the LoPrinzi Guitar Company in New Jersey. They started ...
