Article: Taiwanese Inventors Develop Digital Versatile Disc Films Playing Device

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 27 -- Ming-Chang Wang of Taoyuan, Taiwan, Wen Hsiung Chang of Yunlin Hsien, Taiwan, and Chih Wen Liu of Taipei, Taiwan, has developed a digital versatile disc (DVD) films playing device.

An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "A computer device capable of playing DVD films without the need of running an operating system is disclosed.
