Compile a list of features you need to get the size and configuration that's right for you.
Compact track loaders run the gamut these days from small machines with less than 2,000-lb. operating weights to large models in excess of 4,000 lbs. While it's great to have choices, how do you know which size is right for you?
Begin by making a list of features you need in a machine, starting with physical machine size. Are you working in tight, urban spaces with landscaped yards, or in wide-open areas with no constraints? How will you transport the machine? Will you have to (or want to) invest in a specialized trailer?
