Article: Kentucky Inventors Develop Print Media Handling System

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 29 -- Raymond Michael Marowski, David John Mickan and Mark Stephen Underwood, all from Lexington, Ky., have developed methods for handling defective radio frequency identification (RFID) media.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printing device such as a laser printer includes a radio frequency (RF) controller which permits the detection and redirection of media having one or more defective RF device tags, such as an RFID tag, to a specific one of two or more output options."
