Article: De Palma's Iraq war film gets rave reviews

London, Sep. 1 -- Director Brian De Palma has impressed critics at the Venice Film Festival with his graphic new film on the Iraq war called "Redacted".

The movie is labelled a "fictional story inspired by true events", which follows US soldiers in Iraq who rape a teenage girl and kill her family, dailysnack.com reported.

It is based on an incident near Baghdad where soldiers raped a 14-year-old girl, burnt her body and shot her parents and younger sister. Other events depicted in the film include a shooting of a pregnant Iraqi woman as her brother was driving her to hospital.
