Article: California Inventor Develops Foot Plantar Fascia Supporting Apparatus

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- Harry H. Hlavac of Mill Valley, Calif., has developed foot plantar fascia supporting device.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "support apparatus for supporting the plantar fascia of a foot. The support apparatus is made of an elastic material expandable in the width and longitudinal axis of the foot."

An abstract of the invention, released by the Patent Office, said: "When in operative position on the foot, the apparatus frictionally remains in place mid the first metatarsal bone and extends behind the heel of the foot above its os calcis bone such that when the foot is caused to bear weight, the apparatus expands ...
