ATLANTIC CITY - The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority said Wednesday that it is requesting proposals for the selection of a consultant to study financial development alternatives for Bader Field.
Since Atlantic City closed the historic airport there last fall, the fate of the nearly 150-acre site along Albany Avenue has prompted discussion among city, casino and state officials on how it can best be used at a time when the city is seeing rapid growth.
In June, CRDA Executive Director Tom Carver told the Senate Tourism and Gaming Committee that the state agency envisioned more casinos there eventually - a viewpoint that has put him at odds with some gaming interests.
