Mohave County issued the following meeting news release:
On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors voted to end what Chairman Pete Byers called, "the worst agreement ever entered into by Mohave County."
During that Board meeting at the County Administration Building in Kingman, the three supervisors approved a new water contract with Griffith Energy (merchant electrical generating plant) which would remove the county's opposition to the construction of the Northern Arizona Energy Project (NAEP) peaking plant. The new contract lowers Griffith's water allocation from the county's I-40 Corridor water plant from 4,500 gallons per minute to 4,350 gallons per minute of which 450 ...
