South Puget Sound Community College issued the following news release:
South Puget Sound Community College opens the 2007-08 gallery season at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts with an exhibit of the art of Jacob Lawrence.
Beginning with the opening-reception on Sept. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Lawrence's series of screen prints, "The Legend of John Brown," will be displayed through Sept. 29. The prints illustrate the dramatic moral choices and life events of the prominent abolitionist. The Minnaert Center will also provide two free exhibit tours hosted by South Puget Sound Art Professor Jane Stone. The first tour is scheduled for Sept. 21, and the second is on Sept. 27; both are ...
