The University of Texas at Arlington issued the following news release:

The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing has received $500,000 from the UT System to create a Genomics Translational Research Laboratory.

Today Dr. Carolyn Cason, associate dean for research, announced a partnership with the Department of Biology's Genome Biology Group and the Department of Psychology's new Health Psychology program and the appointment of a Science Director to lead this newly created team.

Patricia Newcomb, RN, PhD, PNP, assistant professor of nursing, has been named science director of the Genomics Translational Research Laboratory and will provide leadership for the development of the ...
