Normally, businesspeople schmooze in quiet conversations. But when hundreds of businesspeople gather, the din approaches the sound you might hear in a middle-school cafeteria at lunch time - without the breaking plates.

All that chatting was the sound of success to the organizers of the Aug. 30 Cumberland County Mega Mixer, which brought together more than 500 members from the county's four chambers of commerce. The mixer was held Aug. 30 at Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse in Boiling Springs. Cumberland County Economic Development (CCED) organized the event, along with the West Shore, Mechanicsburg, Shippensburg and Carlisle Area chambers of commerce.
