ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 11 -- Jae-hoon Lee of Seongnam-si, South Korea, has developed a digital video recorder.
An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "Provided is a digital video recorder for processing digital video data continuously input in frame units and storing the data on a video storing portion, which includes a wavelet conversion portion to classify digital video data of a present frame by frequency band, a motion area dividing portion to divide the present frame into a high frequency band and a low frequency band according to the digital video data classified by the wavelet conversion portion, a motion detecting portion to generate ...
