Article: ALLERGEN ALERT: SULFITES NEW YORK COMPANY RECALLS CHINESE WOLFBERRY

The Georgia Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting Georgians to the recall of a product that may cause health problems in some individuals.

Strong America Ltd. of Long Island City, NY, is recalling Great Wall brand Chinese Wolfberry, because it may contain sulfites without listing them on the label. People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled Great Wall brand Chinese Wolfberry is packed in uncoded 7oz packages. It was sold in Georgia, New York and Tennessee.
