The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources' Museum of History issued the following news release:
World War II and America's "greatest generation" are capturing headlines once again with the debut of the PBS epic documentary series "The War," produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, on UNC-TV on Sept. 23. At the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh, see a preview of the documentary on Sept. 20, and step back to the days of World War II during a Family Day event on Sept. 29. Be sure to tour the new exhibit Everybody's War: North Carolina and World War II, opening Sept. 18.
