To the Editor:

I see nothing wrong with President Bush's integrating certain aspects of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Columnist Phyllis Schlafly doesn't like NAFTA superhighways. But NAFTA superhighways would only benefit our country and move us forward. What about the Pan-American Highway, which reaches from Alaska to Chile -- does she like that?

As far as one superstate comprising three countries, that would never happen. Canada's dollar is tied to U.S. currency, and I can see Mexico's eventually replacing its currency with U.S. currency as some other Latin-American countries have already done (it's the trend in Latin America.)
