The Washington state Department of Social and Health Services issued the following news release:
Foster parents in Washington report a very strong and positive working relationship with state caseworkers, a study released today reported. Results of an independent telephone survey of 1,200 foster parents and relative caregivers statewide were made public by the Braam Oversight Panel.
"The children we serve deserve to be placed in a safe and nurturing home," says Cheryl Stephani, assistant secretary of the Children's Administration (CA) of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
