High-Precision Corner-Radius End Mills
The EPDR corner-radius end mill from Hitachi Tool (Novi, Mich.) is the newest addition to the company's comprehensive lineup of submicrograin carbide tools for high-performance die/mold machining. Designed for high-precision and high-speed milling of deep rib grooves, slots and corners in materials up to HRC70, they are well suited for die and mold applications that are traditionally performed by EDM. The EPDR's unique compound neck shape greatly improves breakage resistance and suppresses chatter during milling.
