Today, Congressman Brian Baird (WA-03) joined 27 of his colleagues to endorse a "Bipartisan Compact on Iraq Debate," a series of eight principles to help guide the House of Representatives away from political infighting and toward a bipartisan solution on Iraq.

"Setting responsible policy regarding Iraq should not be a Democratic or Republican issue, in fact this should not be a partisan issue at all; it is a challenge for all Americans," said Baird. "This compact sets out some fundamental principles that are responsible, realistic statements about how we should proceed from here and what our common goals should be. ...
