Article: WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AWARDS FUNDS FOR READING TUTORS IN KITSAP, THURSTON SCHOOLS

The Washington state Department of Employment Security issued the following news release:

The state Employment Security Department has awarded a grant of $175,000 to Community Youth Services, which serves Grays Harbor, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pierce and Thurston counties. The public-service program will use the grant to support Washington Reading Corps efforts to tutor students in public schools. The funding comes from the federal AmeriCorps and Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) programs.
