Article: WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AWARDS FUNDS FOR VOLUNTEERS TO AID CHELAN-DOUGLAS SCHOOLS

The Washington state Department of Employment Security issued the following news release:

The state Employment Security Department has awarded $185,000 to the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council to support a variety of educational needs, including basic learning, mentoring, tutoring and English-language skills in 18 school districts and community organizations throughout North-Central Washington. The funding comes from the federal AmeriCorps and Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) programs.
